Gunpla :D

I have a huge draft post detailing my Macross Frontier VF-25 mecha kit, but I can’t really be arsed finishing the post, so it’ll probably never see the light of day.  Instead, here’s the finished version of my Sword Impulse Strike Gundam, from Gundam Seed Destiny:

I still need to add the decals, and sort out a more stable pose, since I haven’t got the stand for it. It’s a pity all of the weapons can’t be held at once, since the boomerang swords look pretty cool as well.

Also, I’ve ordered a Canon Ixus 100 IS, since I was direly in need of a new camera, and it should arrive just in time for my first anime convention ever, which is MCM London

And no, I don’t have long hair or plan to wear that as a hair pin, I just bought it cause I thought it’d look cool on my bag I use for uni. The thing i really like about it is that it’s really understated, as in that if you hadn’t actually seen Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann, you wouldn’t know it’s from there and just assume it’s some random skull badge I actually got the idea from this random guy who was wearing it on the lapel of his suit jacket, at my uni’s sports club faire.

Also, I’m sure that the awful quality of the photos here is evident, and that’s because they’ve all been taken with my phone, which is only 3 MegaPixels. I’m planning to pick up a digital compact, and my budget’s around £150. So far I’m leaning towards the Panasonic Lumix FS15, which has some really great reviews on the net.

Well, my blog is officially a wasteland Since no-one reads this anyway, it mean I can write whatever I want! So therefore I’m just gonna record random things so that in the near future, I can look back and go “LOL! What a loser I was back then!”

So, today I received something cool:

Random headphones on random girls!

Yeah, it’s a collection titled Headphone Girls, which believe it or not contains images of girls wearing, wait for it, headphones! It contain’s illustrations from 52 fairly well-known artists, each using a brand name headphone in their image. Cost me $32 plus postage, but looks to be well worth it. Some pull out posters as well, it’s awesome.

I also spent part of the day (before heading to uni) building my Sword Impulse Gundam, and have so far made the chest, head, arms and weapons, as well as the little flyer thing :O

I was looking for something to balance the upper body on, and the Fate/Zero Saber statue was nearby, so….

Also, I’ve noticed that my figures attract a lot of dust I need to get a duster or something.

New camera

Hmmm, I’ve been thinking about this for a while, and I really do need a new camera. It’d have to be digital, and not too expensive. After all, I’m on a student budget :O Maybe one of the cheaper Olympus compacts?

Aside from that, I recently splurged a bit on manga, picking up Fruits Basket (an awesome series) v1-19, Real Bout High School v1-6 (dire, but a light hearted read), Black God v1-2 (i love Park Sung-woo’s art, have most of his english series), Parasyte v1+2 (interesting, might buy more) and Sundome v1 (which i havn’t got round to reading yet ) Since I’ve leeched off the internet scanlations for so long, I’ve always felt a bit guilty about the fact that the mangaka received nothing from me, so now I’ve got a bit of spare change rolling about, I’m trying to do my bit to support my favourite authors

Feel free to comment on series you’ve bought recently, and i’d also appreciate suggestions about buying a decent camera :S
